Labour’s listening campaign has resulted in yet another success. Today residents received ‘A News Flash for City of London Housing Residents – March 2014 Volume 1 Issue 1 announcing new external security doors.

William Taylor, Labour’s candidate for the forthcoming by-election, in his latest letter dated 5 March, wrote:

Many of you told us you feel ignored by the council, because these problems have gone on for years without being fixed.

However, after our intervention the council have started to listen. Yesterday we eMailed Martin Dudley, Chairman of the Community and Children’s Services Committee, to arrangeĀ  to present the petition. As a result urgent action has now been taken.

This is a tremendous response to our recent residents’ petition to improve security on the estate.

There is still more to be done.
